My Day Spent My Way

We've had a lot of beautiful autumn days so far.  Tuesday was one of those days.  The sun was shining and made a perfect day for washing some windows. The temperature made it lovely to be outside and pull the garden that the frost had taken.  A nice warm breeze was perfect for hanging out blankets on the line.  I could leave the door open while dragging out the basement "barn room" rugs and boot trays to wash outside.

Oh, the list never ends...

But, I had something else on my list.

So, Tuesday afternoon was mine...alone...

with a DVD that I borrowed from the my local spinners and handweavers guild...

and my spinning wheel...spinning soft alpaca....in the kitchen, with the warm sunshine streaming in the window.

I needed that.  I should do it more often!

Take the time to do what you love.  You deserve it.

You are so right, we deserve to treat ourselves to something we love everyday.
Would love to have a peek at that DVD!
Enjoy the rest of the week!

Sounds like a wonderful afternoon...you are right we do deserve it but we generally don't take the time!

Cheers

Farmer - Learning to spin is easy...but you have to let yourself slow down first. You'll love it. (Check out Wooly Knits n Bits blog below for a testimonial on falling in love with your new wheel!)
Debi - I just wish I had figured this out years ago - might have less gray hair and wrinkles by now.
Heather at Azure - you are right and yes, it is wonderful!!! I imagine you find the same 'place' working with your jewellry tools that I do with my wheel.

Great way to spend the day. And you are right about taking the time to do what you love, absolutely.

oI have a special spinning spot now, we finished our mud room last week and it is lovely and sunny. I have my wheel set up in front of the big patio door. On the nicer fall days we go out on the deck in the sun.

I want to thank you for helping me pick a wheel that was right for me, I think of you every time I sit down.
